Strategy and Project Management Lead 

POSITION PURPOSE:

Multi-functional position responsible for the development and monitoring of the Pharma SA strategy and priorities. The role focuses on the preparation, management, and follow-up of the division's major projects and provide support to Pharmaceuticals Country Division Head (CDH) with key projects, undertaking responsibility of project management support for CDH and local Pharmaceuticals Leadership Team (PSLT).

This is a key role to help shape and drive the overall Growth Strategy for India and other SA markets. including leading strategic growth and business development projects, managing the implementation of an agile functional organisational model and enhancing the effectiveness of the Leadership Team. 

The incumbent reports directly to the Country Division Head, SA Pharmaceuticals and sits on the Leadership team.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Co-Create and execute the overall PH-INDIA strategy under Project Velocity in close cooperation with CDH, PSLT, regional and global stakeholders, considering key industry and competitive trends.
• Shape, implement and monitor the commercial business model for PH-PAK under Sustainable Profitable Growth Model launched recently
• As part of Leadership Squad, lead key projects with key enabling functional leads to drive organization priorities and help CDH steer PSLT priorities and goals. Support organization, squads and functions, on the transformation journey by educating and consulting with teams
• In conjunction with the CDH & PSLT, define and facilitate the implementation of major projects for the division. Act as internal consultant to CDH to drive projects which address critical business topics.
• Work with senior leaders to optimize commercial operations, develop and execute commercial strategies to grow or turn around brands.
• Collaborate with global and regional BD&L as main contact point to identify and evaluate growth opportunities through in-licensing and partnership deals, with Finance BP.
• Support CDH as Management support, to handle general business management duties, communication and facilitation of internal and external information

WHO YOU ARE:

• Masters degree in Economics, Business Administration or equivalent
• 5 years’ leadership experience in a commercial function
• 5 years’ experience in the pharmaceuticals industry
• Strong understanding of local, regional and global market dynamics and requirements
• Strong leadership to effectively interact and influence all levels of management in and outside Bayer to challenge the status quo and continuously drive change management
• Proven experience in motivating and influencing others in a matrix organisation.
• Ability to coach and facilitate to enable others
• Preferably with consulting and/or international exposure
