Senior Data Engineer 

Senior Data Engineer for Whippany, NJ to translate business & IT strategy into technology solutions; design IT architecture & artifacts; develop, evaluate & update IT architecture strategy and landscape roadmaps; contribute to business prioritization, planning & optimization initiatives; guide evaluation & selection of strategic technology; forecast outcomes of technology decisions; lead continuous improvement of IT architecture; collaborate with cross-functional U.S. & global stakeholders. Requires Master’s  in I.T., C.S., Data Science, Business Analytics, or closely-related field & 8 yrs experience assessing IT target architectures, component technologies, and service-oriented architectures in an enterprise environment; designing, implementing & troubleshooting IT architecture and networking and security solutions; working with SQL & RDBMS databases and system design; designing & developing data warehouses; gathering business requirements; using architecture models & frameworks to support business and technology design decisions;  evaluating risks & opportunities of new and emerging technologies and presenting recommendations for company use based on data and metrics; developing proof of concepts for new technologies; implementing automated operational control checks on data quality; developing & implementing logical and physical data models; using Agile & Lean methodologies and enterprise architecture frameworks for solution design; collaborating with cross-functional teams to test new processes and/or methods; and creating & maintaining design and code documentation using GitHub, Haystack and/or a related data repository. Will also accept Bachelor’s in said fields & 10 yrs progressive post-Bachelor’s stated experience.
