Outcomes Research Manager

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review the concept and protocol of outcome research studies
• Support Access & Trade and Research & Development to obtain required patient outcomes measures in projects such as health technology assessments and registration clinical trials
• Lead/facilitate the collaborative research projects with academia
• Obtain the up-to-date information and new technologies/methodologies related to outcomes research and feed back to internal stakeholders
• Develop relationships and work closely with external experts and academic researchers in the field throughout the implementation and communication of the research for responsible products
• Provide trainings in health outcomes research for internal and external stakeholders upon needs based on his/her profound professional knowledge
• Represent Bayer Japan to promote the presence in the outcomes research-related field

WHO YOU ARE:

• Advanced degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, life science disciplines or related field, preferably combined with a degree in epidemiology, data science, outcome research, health service research, or comparable public health science is required. 
• Master of public health or Ph.D. in related field and/or qualified medical doctor is desirable 
• Mandatory experience
  • Appropriate experience with Regulatory Agency and KOL interactions.
  • Understanding of the drug development process and life cycle management
  • Track records in leading/managing health outcomes research projects involving cross-functional teams and expertise.
• Desirable experience
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas, including but not limited to Market Access, Commercial, Epidemiology, R&D, Data Science, and/or Medical Affairs (ideally 3 or more years)
• Excellent knowledge of regulations relevant for health outcomes research.
• Proven evidence of effective delivery of high-quality documents for outcomes research projects in both local language and English.
• Applies in-depth medical knowledge and expertise in the design, initiation and conduct of clinical-epidemiological studies, evidence generation activities and medical benefit-risk assessments.
• Thorough understanding of a broad range of methodological approaches, data sources and analytical tools for designing, implementing, analyzing, and reporting of projects
• Strong strategic, envisioning, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to think/act both strategically and tactically
• Highly result-oriented while tackling complex strategic and analytical problems
• Effective communicator and interpersonal skills
• Proven leadership and management skills in a team of highly qualified individual contributors
• High ethical standards as well as personal credibilit
• Business level written and spoken English (TOEIC L&R 730+ and TOEIC Speaking 120+) and the local language (Japanese)
