Do you have a passion for improving the lives of patients through cutting-edge technology? 
Bayer Radiology is looking for an experienced Software Development Lead to drive and deliver the timely completion of a new Computed Tomography (CT) Contrast Injector project at our Rydalmere facility. Our Rydalmere site is the hub of our research, design and manufacturing of current and future Bayer CT Radiology medical devices.
 

Do something that moves you.

• You will guide and participate in the software development effort for all software artifacts including design and development specifications, testing strategy, systems architecture design and production firmware
• Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting skills to the project software team
• Deploy good software engineering practices throughout the full developmental life cycle
• Write clean, high quality, reliable and maintainable code
• Conduct peer code review sessions and provide meaningful, constructive feedback
• Ensure all software conforms with quality and regulatory requirements as well as Bayer’s product development processes
• Break down complex tasks in collaboration with team members adopting a joint design philosophy
• Keep abreast of new software standards, leading the education and coaching of other team members
• Successfully collaborate with the Head of Software development, the core project team and the electro-mechanical team in Rydalmere and Pittsburgh

Does this sound like you?
 

• Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent technology discipline; or relevant Bachelor's Degree with significant experience leading software development teams.
• Be able to demonstrate significant hands on work experience in Software development in a regulated environment is essential. Ideally within an IEC-62304 compliance environment
• Experienced delivering software development projects as the project lead
• Advanced object oriented design skills and advanced coding skills in C, C++ and Python
• Deep understanding of software development processes, software architecture, data structures and algorithms
• Advanced documentation skills
• Excellent people mentoring and coaching skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in an agile team environment
