Junior Solution Engineer for Process Mining 

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

• Assist senior team members in providing technical expertise to business stakeholders, helping them leverage process mining insights to achieve business outcomes such as cost reduction, efficiency gains, and improved decision-making.
• Contribute to the implementation of process mining, task mining, and automation solutions under the guidance of more experienced team members, with a focus on ensuring the solutions drive measurable business impact.
• Work closely with data scientists, business analysts, and IT teams to gather and document business requirements. Help translate those requirements into basic technical specifications and assist in aligning them with organizational goals.
• Assist in the end-to-end implementation of process mining solutions, ensuring that the solutions perform well and meet customer needs, with close supervision from senior engineers.
• Help design and implement data pipelines using tools like Apache Kafka, Airflow, or Talend to extract, cleanse, transform, and integrate data from various sources, supporting process mining platforms like Celonis.
• Assist in integrating data from multiple systems, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and reliability for process mining applications. Support monitoring of data pipelines to ensure they run smoothly and without issues.
• Help develop basic data-driven process analyses, identifying inefficiencies and contributing to understanding their root causes. Assist in suggesting areas for improvement.
• Assist in the design and development of execution apps, dashboards, and reports to track process efficiency, automate routine tasks, and support business process improvements.
• Participate in knowledge sharing and learning from senior team members. Assist with troubleshooting data engineering issues and learn best practices for process mining and data engineering.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in process mining, data engineering, and automation, ensuring that knowledge is applied to improve team solutions.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 0-2 years of experience in a related role (e.g., Data Engineering, Business Analytics, IT), with a focus on data integration, process optimization, or process mining.
• Proficiency in SQL, with basic knowledge of Python (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) or PQL for data manipulation and analysis. Familiarity with database management systems like SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Exposure to process mining platforms such as Celonis or Signavio is a plus, but not mandatory. Willingness to learn these tools is essential.
• Exposure to business intelligence tools like Power BI, or other visualization tools, and a basic understanding of data visualization concepts.
• Familiarity with data engineering concepts like ETL processes, data transformation, and integration. Willingness to learn how to build scalable data pipelines and work with cloud-based platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Strong analytical skills, with an ability to think critically about business processes and data. Motivated to learn how to apply data-driven techniques to solve business problems.
• Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical team members. Ability to learn how to present technical concepts in simple terms.
• Eagerness to grow within the field of process mining and data engineering. A desire to stay current with industry trends and improve technical skills over time.

Desirable Extras:

• Exposure to Celonis, Signavio, or similar process mining platforms is a plus. Willingness to gain hands-on experience with these tools in the role.
• Familiarity with task mining tools such as Soroco or Celonis Task Mining is a plus but not a requirement for entry-level candidates.
• Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, and tools like Apache NiFi, Talend, or Informatica for data integration.
• Familiarity with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools such as UiPath, Microsoft Power Automate, or ServiceNow is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of data governance, security, and privacy best practices, such as GDPR or CCPA, as they relate to process mining and data integration.
• Exposure to Databricks for building data pipelines, running analytics, or integrating machine learning models is a plus. Willingness to learn how to use Databricks in process mining workflows is highly desirable.
• Interest in Knowledge Graphs to model complex relationships in business data. Familiarity with AI techniques, such as machine learning or natural language processing, to enhance process mining capabilities is a plus.
