ABOUT THE TEAM
Technology is at the core of what we do. Basis innovative Engineering team designs and develops new features and integrations for Basis, our industry-leading, comprehensive software solution. Our platform processes over 300 billion events per day and uses AI and machine learning to automate and simplify the entire digital campaign process. The Financial Integrations team builds, scales, and maintains mission‑critical integrations with financial systems, ensuring accurate, timely, and automated financial operations across the digital advertising lifecycle. We power core workflows by delivering reliable, high‑quality data synchronization across platforms. Partnering closely with Product and Data teams, we ensure the end‑to‑end integrity, transparency, and consistency throughout the organization.
WAYS YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE
This role operates as a true player‑coach: you will lead the team while also contributing hands‑on to architecture, design, and implementation. You will also contribute by:
- Developing strong relationships with Product Management, UX, QA, and partner Engineering teams to ensure smooth execution of projects with many interconnected dependencies.
- Managing and mentoring your direct reports through clear expectation‑setting, regular feedback, and proactive support for career growth, ownership, and accountability.
- Demonstrating deep expertise in financial systems to anticipate risks across accounting, data validation, compliance, and integration complexity, while ensuring technical solutions align with business objectives.
- Establishing and upholding high standards of quality, reliability, observability, security, and data integrity within the integrations space.
- Driving successful delivery of integration features by managing scope, timelines, and cross‑team dependencies—ensuring solutions are correct, stable, and aligned with financial workflows.
- Building and retaining a strong engineering team with expertise in system integrations, data pipelines, and financial systems—leveraging both internal recruiting processes and your own network.
- Creating and sustaining a positive, high‑performing, inclusive culture. Set expectations for respectful and inclusive behavior, foster open communication, and encourage diverse perspectives. Celebrate team achievements and individual contributions to build morale and drive engagement.
- Taking an active role in the career development of your direct reports—championing their growth, strengths, and long‑term success.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- Min 8 years of experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, etc.
- 2 years of management experience
- Strong technical skills in designing and scaling applications in a microservice architecture.
- Commitment to creating inclusive, respectful environments where all voices are valued and supported.
- Thoughtful approach to collaboration, design, and decision-making that prioritizes equity, access, and continuous learning.
- Ability to effectively contribute code within our technology stack.
BONUS POINTS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- Experience with entire development cycle of projects in a fast-paced workplace.
- Excited by a fast-paced product development environment.
- Ad-tech or Fin-tech experience
