This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to work on the Cloud-to-Cloud Backup product and Barracuda Back up Service product in the Data Protection Division.  
With a focus on data security and integrity, our protection platform facilitates the transfer of terabytes worth of data during all hours of the day.  Our ability to manage millions of data objects across several different data providers offers a unique and challenging experience for the Senior SDET to work in small team environment that follows an iterative process through planning, coding, testing and deployment. We use the latest technologies to quickly solve different challenges.  
We are looking for someone who is passionate, self-motivated, and eager to hit the ground running.  
 
Tech Stack:  
 
  • Proficient in Python, Java, or JavaScript for automation.  
  • Hands-on experience with API testing using tools like Postman.
  • Good SQL knowledge.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Azure services, and Azure DevOps for continuous integration and testing.
  • Understanding of SDLC, test planning, and defect management.
  • Hands-on experience with test management tools, defect and sprint management tools, log analysis, monitoring test results, and troubleshooting failures.
  • Experience testing a wide variety of application from front-end UI to API and back-end services.
  • Experience in functional, regression, performance and API testing.
 What you’ll be working on:
  • Design and execute both manual and automated test cases to evaluate software functionality and performance.
  • Document and track defects and prepare QA reports for stakeholders.
  • Write code snippets to validate API endpoints.
  • Manage releases to QA and production environments.
  • Collaborate with development, Product Management, and DevOps teams to align on requirements and identify potential risks early.
  • Guide engineering team to build quality into the product by participating actively in sprint planning and backlog grooming sessions.
  • Mentor and guide junior SDET's.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for issues in the QA environment 
  • Attain mastery of multiple components of the product(s) 
  • Demonstrate concepts in front of larger group
  • Develop domain expertise in external product integrations/dependencies
  • Propose improvements to our tests and CI/CD automation infrastructure to improve the release speed, quality and efficiency.
  • Lead the design and implementation of tests for end-to-end quality of key deliverables, collaborating with engineers and teams.
What you bring to the role:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in software testing.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience with version control systems such as GitHub.
  • Proficiency in automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, MABL, TestNG, JUnit, etc).
  • Hands-on experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
  • Good knowledge of SQL for validating backend data.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with security testing is a plus.
