We are looking for a candidate who is ready for the Fastlane, eager to learn and contribute, willing to work and grow in one of the banks Premium IT Teams. This job will have you Leading SRE initiatives, Community of Practice & implementations in large scale Cloud Environment.

Job Description

• Develop, Automate and optimize the provisioning and configuration of cloud services
• Embedding with application teams to improve SRE practices & participate in hands-on SRE Squad activities
• Driving an Infrastructure as Code mentality within teams to adopt better observability planning
• Performing functional & non-functional requirement analysis of service reliable plans and assessments
• Demonstrating new technology Proof-Of-Concepts to teams to rapidly increase SRE Adoption
• Work alongside development teams and enable them to release code quickly and securely in production
• Suggest & implement continuous improvements & automations for application infrastructure & security
• Document and maintain runbooks and procedures, automate (Toil Reduction) as much as possible.

Qualifications

•  2-3+ Years of developing application using programming language (Nodejs/Python/Java)
• Familiarity on Application Performance Monitoring Tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, AppDynamics or similar.
• Familiarity on SRE concepts (SLI/SLO/Error budget) & best practices.
• Knowledge on tools and practices like chaos engineering, observability, self-healing, Disaster Recovery exercise, and tools like Dynatrace and ELK stack.
• Knowledge on AWS technologies, such as: EC2, Lambda, ELB, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, KMS, VPC, Dynamo DB, RDS

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
