Job Description:
Responsible for maximizing the value for a product. Defines the vision and roadmap for the product, defining and prioritizing stories in the product backlog, and articulating this to both stakeholders and the development team. Works closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, and with the Product Manager in a scaled Agile model to ensure there is alignment. Possess a working knowledge of the product, and basic understanding of the business or technology domain. With some guidance, creates the vision and roadmap for the product to align with strategic direction for the business or technology domain. Communicates the product vision and roadmap to stakeholders and the team. Collaborates with stakeholders to understand their needs and problems. Creates and prioritizes work for one team. Learning to collaborate with cross-functional teams. With some guidance, creates and prioritizes stories in the product backlog. Refines stories with the team to ensure there are enough ready stories to load the next 1-2 sprints. Reviews and accepts stories and is empowered to make on-the-spot decisions on scope and requirements. Works in partnership with the team to ensure that optimum value is obtained through technology and through an advanced understanding of the business. Individual contributor.

LOB Specific Summary

Global Payments Technology within Enterprise Payments & Treasury Products seeks a candidate to manage and own all aspects of the business and technical product vision. The ideal candidate must have strong product management skills as well as ability to set and promote strategy across various facets of the business as well as technology organizations. Must be technical savvy with an ability to provide guidance and make proper strategic design decisions. Must have interpersonal skills with a proven track record of interacting with different groups and various levels of a large organization. This role advocates and advances modern, Agile solution delivery practices and evangelizes end-to-end design, engineering and organizational practices.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities include significant inputs into definition of payments product roadmap within Enterprise Payments and subsequently manage product backlog.

  • Work closely with senior business managers, stakeholders and Global functional heads to ensure we establish, implement, and adopt constantly evolving product development standards and processes.

  • Manage the expectations and demands of a multifaceted business, and multiple stakeholders, whilst delivering improved product, BA, and design services across various Enterprise Payment functions.

  • Accountable for product backlog management e.g. prioritizing tech debt, regulatory, business enablement, and supporting audits.

  • Will lead cross functional teams of technologists and business analysts whose main focus will be Deliverable Decomposition & Design review.

  • This leadership role will require close collaboration with functional leads and with business leads across the payments lifecycle from inception to clearing.

  • Documents HLD (high level design) and functional requirements using Agile SAF requirement hierarchies (deliverable, epic, story)

  • Ensures that execution & delivery is aligned with product strategy

  • Creates an inclusive and healthy working environment, and helps to resolve organizational impediments/blockers.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience leading large scale program and project efforts

  • Ability to plan and direct routines and reporting to drive accountability, transparency and collaboration.

  • Ability to drive and promote strategy

  • Ability to analyze & decompose business requirements and propose various solutions

  • Tech Management working in a Technical Environment

  • To be able to work in team environment and co-ordinate with developers on the day to day deliverables using lean agile principles

  • Liaise with senior stakeholders

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills and enjoys a collaborative environment.

  • Flexible, self-starter, fast-learner – willing and able to quickly learn new products, technologies and skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Financial services experience with exposure to regulatory requirements within the Payments space

  • 5+ years overall experience required, experience in organization/program/ product management

  • Knowledge and experience in Enterprise Payments (RTP, Wire Transfers, ACH) is desirable
