Position Summary:

Seeking an Axiom developer within the Finance Technology Regulatory Reporting technology team. The selected individual will be required to perform the following activities:

Job Description:
This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.

Responsibilities:

• Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements

• Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained

• Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack

• Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle

• Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas

• Automates manual release activities

• Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)

Daily Responsibilities

• Hands on development of quality (i.e. readable, performing and supportable) AXIOM Code, delivering the functionality detailed in the technical specifications & helping with Axiom technical design

• Axiom configuration from Data source, Data model, portfolios & aggregations to building custom reports

• Perform root cause analysis as part of issue management

• Develop and review of PL/SQL code to support data sourcing into Axiom & understanding end to end data flow from DB to Axiom

• Ensure code/configuration written meets the predefined company and department standards

• Review requirements documents to ensure the functional requirements are well understood

• Review PL/SQL codes to handle performance tuning exercises

• Prepare and execution of detailed unit test cases to test the Axiom code in Controller View

• Coordinate with tech teams for implementation including packaging of code & deployments and obtaining the required approvals

• Coordinate and communicate with business counterpart for requirement gathering and UAT testing

• Define structured process and controls to validate the code and come up with automation opportunities

• Provide BAU and post-implementation support

• Manage small teams

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience

• 7-9+ years of development experience with IT

• At least 3 years of experience as Axiom developer

• Hands on development experience (i.e. readable, performing and supportable) AXIOM Code, delivering the functionality detailed in the technical specifications & helping with Axiom technical design.

• Proficient in DB concepts and writing PL/SQL queries

Desired Qualifications:

• Oracle PL/SQL and Unix Shell Scripting experience.

• Tableau experience or working experience with any BI tool is a plus.
