We are seeking a Platform Engineer in support of Network Automation with at least 5-7 years of professional experience to join a team that sustains and enhances platforms, infrastructure, and microservices for network automation.
 
Duties Include
•    Provide subject matter expertise as a team member and individual contributor 
•    Work on the design, development, testing, and documentation platforms and services used to automate the network
•    Lead and propose solution design activities including data modeling, data repository, data transformation, and analytics
•    Deploy technologies such as RESTful APIs, software front-ends, and custom integrations into operational systems
•    Act as escalation point for operational incidents
 
Required Skills
•    5+ years in experience in supporting and maintaining an in-house developed application
•    Demonstrable skills / knowledge such as:
•    Linux system administration e.g. RHEL
•    Container platforms such as OpenShift
•    Databases e.g. MySQL
•    Authentication / Authorization e.g. OAuth, SAML
•    Security: e.g. Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
•    Configuration management: e.g. Ansible, Puppet, SaltStack etc
•    Comfort with designing / building / executing day to day operational processes
•    Ability to build and maintain documentation for support
•    Experience with Infrastructure as Code
•    Understanding of complex interconnectivity, topology and relationships of client server, virtual, container and physical environments
•    Ability to work independently and within a globally distributed team
 
Desired Skills
 •    5+ years software development experience
•    Experience with designing, developing, and supporting various software architectures (service oriented, microservice, publisher/subscriber, etc.)
•    Experience with infrastructure as code, Configuration Management Systems (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, etc.)
•    Strong understanding of networking concepts (OSI levels 1-3) and controller-based network architectures.
•    Familiarity with YAML, YANG, JINJA or other network modelling standards

BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
