As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of innovative products and customer‑focused engineering solutions. You will contribute through both hands‑on technical work and collaborative project delivery, applying engineering expertise and systems thinking across the full product lifecycle. Working within cross‑functional teams, you will engage with customers, support project execution, and provide technical leadership to ensure robust, commercially viable solutions aligned with business objectives.
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Leading and contributing to the design and development of new products, services, and customer‑specific engineering solutions.
- Applying systems engineering methodologies including requirements definition, system architecture, integration, configuration management, and risk management.
- Supporting projects through design, verification, production, and commercialization activities where required.
- Collaborating closely with Discipline Engineering, Research, and Testing teams to ensure technical excellence.
- Participating in customer engagement activities, including requirements gathering, technical discussions, and proposal development.
- Providing technical mentorship and acting as a subject matter expert within your discipline.
- Supporting project planning and delivery while maintaining technical integrity and alignment with business objectives.
- Working across the full product lifecycle from concept development through production support.

To be successful in this role, you will:
- Hold a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of core mechanical engineering principles, including:
- Mechanics
- Structural and rotor dynamics
- Thermodynamics
- Fluid dynamics and aerodynamics
- Materials science
- Structural analysis
- Be proficient with CAD, CAM, and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools.
- Have experience designing or analyzing mechanical systems such as fluid transport, compression, combustion, or thermal management systems.
- Be able to work effectively within cross‑functional teams and manage technical interfaces.
- Demonstrate experience applying systems engineering methodologies.
- Possess strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with customers and stakeholders.
Desired Characteristics
- Recognized subject‑matter expertise within a relevant mechanical engineering discipline.
- Experience leading small technical teams or managing engineering work packages.
- Exposure to bid development and proposal support activities.
- A proactive, systems‑oriented approach to solving engineering challenges.
