Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking a diligent and proactive individual with a proven high quality work ethic to fill a Mechanical Engineer position to support the readiness and sustainment of the United States Air Force (USAF) Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Weapon System (WS).

Responsibilities include:

  • Work with a multi-discipline systems engineering team, write specifications, prepare and review mechanical and/or electrical drawings, and manage work to meet program schedules
  • Identify or evaluate needed or proposed modifications and/or replacements for WS components
  • Prepare and be able to defend technical recommendations concerning any needed modifications and/or replacements
  • Create and interpret Computer Aided Design (CAD) models


Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or other related degrees, from an ABET accredited program
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of War Secret clearance. The criteria for a security clearance is set by the US Government. A current clearance is not required to be hired.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $72150 - $122655

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
