Our team have an opening to join them in the role of DevOps Engineer, this is role that can be either remote or hybrid working close to one of our office locations.

This is a role working on our global website for electronic engineers known as the Element14 Community.  This is a website where members of the electronics community come together to discuss, support and share helpful tips and ideas with fellow members when tackling project challenges or looking for ideas. Very different to working on an ecomm store! 

Working closely with our development and test team, our successful candidate will be working with Azure and Azure DevOps to support our members in what they need.  You will be responsible for providing application support, configuration, and ongoing maintenance for all the Element14 website environments.  Whilst ensuring  stability, performance, and uptime, which drive key metrics including visits, registrations, participation, referrals and sales.

This role supports the technical aspects of code deployment across multiple environments throughout the development life-cycle.

What will you be doing?

  • Supporting all technical and operational aspects of the website production and pre-production environments at an application/configuration level.
  • Supporting and maintaining all DevOps activities and processes across all environments, including resolving build and environment issues, monitoring and resolving production issues, and implement improvements as directed by the Sr DevOps Engineer to existing processes
  • Coordinating IT, development and vendor support to troubleshoot and provide timely resolution of application, performance, and system incidents, in all environments – primarily during non-US business hours, and as directed by the Sr DevOps Engineer
  • Coordinating post-outage root cause analysis as directed by the Sr DevOps Engineer
  • Gathering and monitoring metrics from multiple sources (application performance monitoring, file systems, application logs, etc.) for production stability assessment
  • Maintaining application support, environment, and technical documentation as directed.

Key Skills Required:

  • Experience working with platforms such as Jive, Verint, Khoros
  • Experience working within Agile development methodologies
  • Basic understanding of C# .Net frameworks
  • Ability to work with teams distributed regionally
  • Experience with edge caching (Akamai)
  • Experience with analytics tools (Omniture)
  • Experience with server monitoring tools (Dynatrace)
