AVAIL Engineer Intern

Job Purpose:

Avnet's AVAIL internship program provides with practical work experience in a global organization complimenting their classroom education. Our interns receive valuable hands-on experience within AVAIL team. In addition, our AVAIL Interns gain practical insight into our business activities and internal operations.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Assist on the creation of the design files (schematics and layouts) from reference designs for Avnet's engineering platform.
• Assist on the creation of high-level electronic block diagrams of different applications and manufacturers for Avnet's AVAIL engineering platform.
• Make recommendations to leadership for streamlining systems and processes
• Assist on the process of loading data to the Avnet's AVAIL engineering platform.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Electronic engineering degree or comparable study path with a strong focus on electronics.
• Knowledge of electronics EDA tools (Autodesk Eagle, Fusion 360, Proteus, Altium or similar).
• Strong communication skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Determined team-player.

Education and Certification(s):

• Be studying in the penultimate quarter or semester of the degree.

Internship Details

• This is a paid internship at 8,000 pesos per month
• Must be currently enrolled at any of the following universities: ITESO, CUCEA, CUCEI, UVM, Universidad Marista, UNIVA, Tec de Monterrey, Universidad Panamericana
• Work schedule is hybrid schedule some days in-office, some days WFH (20 hrs. per week)
• Must be available for seasonal work from August 05th 2024 to Feb 07th 2025
• Selected candidate must provide their own housing, internet access and transportation.
• Selected candidate should reside in Guadalajara for the summer to accommodate the hybrid schedule.
• Relocation is not offered for this role.
• Sponsorship is not offered for this role.
