Staff QA Test Engineer - Secure Edge Team

ABOUT THE ROLE: 

We are looking for a Staff QA Test Engineer to join our QA Bengaluru team where you will work in a small talented engineering team in a fast-paced, growing startup. You will be a part of the Aviatrix Secure Edge QA team where you will be responsible for owning quality for the Aviatrix Secure Edge product. Aviatrix Secure Edge extends Aviatrix’s cloud networking capabilities to remote sites ensuring consistent network architecture, security policies, and connectivity across the entire network infrastructure. 

LOCATION:  Aviatrix Systems India Private Limited 02-103, 2nd floor, WeWork Princeville, Embassy Golf Links Business Park Challaghatta, Bengaluru 

Work Model: In-Office Preferred (3 days in office) 

YOU WILL GET THE OPPORTUNITY TO: 

• Engage in the full software testing cycle – participate in product design reviews, prepare test plans, execute tests and design end-to-end test automation. 
• Work cross-functionally across networking, security, UI/UX and solutions. 
• Gain experience and understand enterprise-level large scale, highly available distributed systems. 
• Work with all the public clouds we support: AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, and Ali cloud. 
• Ability to identify processes suitable for automation and successfully own and drive these efforts. 
• Advocate for the customer to help Aviatrix deliver high quality products. 
• Be mentored by experts in multi-cloud networking and security. 
• Be a mentor to other engineers in the team, guiding them with technical leadership. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Work closely with software engineers to test and automate testing of Aviatrix’s products 
• Enhance test coverage with a focus on white-box, end-to-end and scale testing. 
• Work closely with product managers, other engineers, solution architects, and customer engineers to understand the business case and deliver a high-quality product. 
• Provide "hands-on" support for the customers when needed to solve production issues. 

REQUIREMENTS: 

• 6+ years programming/scripting in Python 
• Strong Networking background. Network management QA with test automation experience is strongly preferred. 
• Cloud experience (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI) 
• Experience with on-premises infrastructure management solutions – VMware vSphere, vCenter, KVM etc. is preferred. 
• Experience with pytest or any Python-based test framework is preferred. 
• Experience with traffic tools such as iperf, cyperf, Ixia etc. is desirable. 
• Experience with datacenter and branch office networking is desirable. 
• Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal, and written communication skills. 
• Strong problem-solving skills. 
• Self-driven and motivated. 
• BS, MS degree in Computer Science, Math, related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
