Job Description

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.

• Act as the interface between Ops business and IT to translate the business requirement into performance specifications.

• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.

• Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into business performance metrics.

• Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader.

• Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.

• This position will drive consulting skills, and change management processes and take primary responsibility for the implementation of data analysis within organizations and its associated value streams.

• Project management & business process management tools and system.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS FOR DATA ENGINEER

• Advanced manufactory working experience with relational databases, query authoring as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.

• Experience building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.

• Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.

• Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.

• Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable ‘big data’ data stores.

• Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

• We are looking for a candidate with 3+ years of experience in a Data Engineer role, who has earned a graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field. 

WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU

• 3+ years working experience in data analytics skill in manufacturing environment.

• Experience in visualization tools and data analytics tools.

• Experience in SQL, MS Access, Python, Google Script is plus.

• Experience in analyzing streaming data and relational databases.

• Experience new data acquisition technology skill in data warehouse and data lake.

• IoT experience is preferred.

• A mindset of continuously challenging your peers and yourself.

• Fluent in both English and Chinese.
