Technology Services Team Lead, Northern Europe (M/F/D)

Avantor is looking for a technically minded IT Support Team Lead to join our IT Operations and support end users in UK, Ireland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland.

The successful IT Support Team Lead will support around 1210 end users.

This role will be a full-time position based out of our Lutterworth office. You will have the opportunity to be part of the European IT team. If you are looking for a role with full autonomy, to be able to work on various IT projects – let’s talk!

The team

Avantor’s IT Team is part of a busy team of 8 IT professionals and a wider team of 21.

What we’re looking for

• Ability to motivate personnel to support each other to collaborate and work as a team.
• Experience of setting performance objectives and period reviews to provide ongoing constructive feedback.
• 2+ years of demonstrated working knowledge and hands-on support of Microsoft (MS) Windows 10 and MS Windows 11 in an Active Directory environment.
• Good knowledge and experience with supporting office products and suites (O365).
• Experience of using the ITSM tool “Service Now” is desirable.
• Experience with building/maintaining/repairing user workstations/laptops; resolving user printer problems.
• Good knowledge of supporting mobile technology (both OS and hardware)
   

How you will thrive and create an impact

• Set up reporting to provide up to date snapshot knowledge of requests from the customer base for the group of countries responsible for.
• At least daily review team planned activities/priorities and re-set accordingly.
• Frequent dialogue with team members
• Manage leave requests to ensure a minimum level of coverage, working with other IT Support Team Leads to leverage support from other regions if necessary.
• Identify training needs to maintain knowledge levels within the team.
• Produce and maintain support documentation (including documentation for tier 1 First Line Support).
• First Escalation Point for tickets outside of SLA
• Responsibility for team maintaining IT Inventory for countries of responsibility and accurate recording and maintenance of records in the Asset Tool.
