Project Engineer I

The Opportunity:

Avantor is looking for a Project Engineer to be responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines needed to complete a project.

The Project Engineer will plan projects, establish project criteria, coordinate project reviews and ensure the proper implementation of project elements. They will also have the opportunity to formulate project parameters, create frameworks to measure the project's metrics and data collection, assign responsibilities and monitor the project team.

This will be a full-time position based out of our Carpinteria, CA office.

What we’re looking for: 

• Education:
• Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering preferred.
• Experience:
• 2+ years experience in project engineering/management role.
• Additional Qualifications: 
• Skilled in CAD and other drawing software and MS Office software.

How you will thrive and create an impact: 

• Receive customer project requirement information (project application form) transmitted by sales department, follow up and complete technical communication (design institute, owner, project management company, etc.), on-site surveying and mapping, design drawing, workload list and summary on time, Proposal Compilation.
• Cooperate with the sales department to arrange customer onsite visits, introduce the company's products and technical advantages.
• According to the drawings provided by the tenderer, digest and comprehend carefully, optimize and draw our design scheme (plane and elevation drawings), and three-dimensional effect drawings; breakdown the list of bidding products and summary.
• According to the tender file, provide the brand, technical parameters and specifications of the main parts (table panel, faucet, guide rail, hinge, lock, etc.) to the purchasing department.
• Assist the Department Manager in filing technical documents, data and drawings and do archiving.

Pay Transparency:

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is

$64,000.00 - $106,000.00

Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
