Hardware Systems Project Manager

Avantor is looking for a dedicated Hardware Systems Project Manager to join our R&D team in the Netherlands! You will become the liaison between the engineering and product management departments and our customers, supporting the E2E development of our Single Use Hardware Systems Products.

This role will be a full-time hybrid position, based in our Tilburg, Netherlands office. You will have the opportunity to combine your tech background with your project management skills. If you are a good organizer with business acumen- let’s talk!

What we’re looking for 

• Education: You have a bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Mechanical Engineering, Operational Technology or similar field and/or combination of education and experience.
• Experience: Previous solid experience in project management and/or technical engineering
• Certification: Project management certification is a plus.
• Qualifications: 
• Good command of general project management practice is essential
• Digital literacy and good understanding of MS Office is necessary
• Fluent communication skills in English (oral and written)

How you will thrive and create an impact 

• Project execution from contract signing until handover to employer, including engineering, manufacturing, logistics, installation and commissioning
• Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific project requirements
• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation
• (Sub-)Contractor management including execution of Supplier POs and follow up activities
• Take leadership on handing over proceses including Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), Site Acceptance Test (SAT), IQ/OQ, etc.
• Successful delivery of Product Documentation Package to the clients
• Coach and supervise project team members and contractors
• Build, develop, and maintain business relationships with customers and suppliers
