Location: Oslo, Norway, Nedre Vats, Norway, Stavanger, Norway

Time Type: Full time

Job Description

We are hiring a Principal Security Specialist to become a key security authority within AutoStore, helping define how security is applied across our technology landscape. You will establish and develop enterprise security standards, review security architecture, and provide technical assurance across cloud, infrastructure, applications, products, and manufacturing environments.

As a senior security expert, you will work closely with Infrastructure, Applications, Product, and Engineering teams to embed security into technology decisions and new initiatives. You will provide guidance on complex security topics, support risk-based decisions and technical sign-off, and help build a consistent approach to security across AutoStore.

Job Responsibilities:

Security Architecture & Technical Assurance

  • Review security architecture across cloud, on-premises infrastructure, networks, SaaS, applications, and product environments, defining required controls and providing technical security sign-off.

Enterprise Security Standards & Governance

  • Own and develop AutoStore’s enterprise security standards, baselines, and governance, including disaster recovery, ensuring requirements are clearly documented and applied across the organization.

Cloud & Secure Development

  • Define security requirements for cloud environments and software development, working with technical teams to embed security into architecture, development, and deployment practices.

Manufacturing & Laboratory Security

  • Define cybersecurity standards for manufacturing, laboratory, OT, and connected hardware environments, working with Product and operational teams to manage security risks.

Security Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a central security expert for Infrastructure, Applications, Product, and Engineering teams, providing guidance, communicating security requirements, and building security knowledge across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of cybersecurity experience, including 5+ years in Security Architecture, Security Engineering, or a senior technical security role.

  • Strong experience defining enterprise security architecture, standards, and governance across complex technology environments.

  • Experience with cloud security and modern application environments, with knowledge of areas such as IAM, DevSecOps, application security, Zero Trust, and threat modelling.

  • Experience working across hybrid infrastructure and engaging with senior technical and business stakeholders. Exposure to manufacturing, OT/ICS, or laboratory environments is a strong advantage.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions and translate security risks into clear requirements. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, SABSA, or GIAC are an advantage.

We offer:

  • A Collaborative and Inclusive Culture where we celebrate and value everyone’s contributions, encouraging diverse perspectives in decision-making.

  • Work-Life Balance & Well-being: We offer 1 hour per week of paid exercise, health insurance, and a generous pension plan, prioritizing your mental and physical well-being.

  • A Creative and Safe Workplace by joining a company experiencing rapid growth, with the stability of being Norway’s first unicorn listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

  • International and Supportive Environment within a Norwegian multinational that values collaboration and innovation.

This role is based in Norway, at our offices in Oslo (Lysaker), Stavanger, or Vindafjord (Nedre Vats).

Application deadline: September 6th. Please note that we review applications continuously —if this opportunity excites you, we encourage you to apply as early as possible! All inquiries are treated confidentially.
