Tooling Engineer

        Should you be interested in overseeing these tasks and aiming for enhanced performance standards, your role will involve:

1.       Follow Up Timing:

• Monitor tooling manufacturing timelines and ensure milestones are met using Autoliv follow up file for the renewal tools and capacity Die casting tools.

• Communicate any delays or issues to the project manager for the new launch project, and with the production manager for serial life tools.

2.       Tool Design:

• Collaborate with design teams to develop tool designs.

• Participate to 1.06 WS and Design review meetings to support R&D Team

• Prepare the Tool specification sheet

• Review and approve tool designs to meet product specifications.

3.       Communication with Tool Development Team:

• Manage LOP for tool validation.  Analyze dimensional, technical solution for Adjustment Mold  / tool efficiency

• Global team meeting, Tools design convergence for EU production

• Link to Global design team for Design validation (AMM or China team)

• Regularly communicate with the tool development team.

• Review tool feasibility with tooling workshop and R&D team.

• Gather feedback and make necessary adjustments to the tool design.

4.       Purchase Order Management:

• ECR Management - Create ECR for new capacity or renewal of tools)

• CAPEX management

• Oversee the creation and tracking of purchase orders for new, renewal and capacity tooling.

• Ensure timely procurement of necessary materials and components.

• Manage Spare parts : Definition, procurement , cost...

5.       Follow Up Timing:

• Monitor tooling manufacturing timelines and ensure milestones are met.

• Communicate any delays or issues to the project manager for the new launch project, and with the production manager for serial life tools.

6.       Modification Management:

• Track and manage tool modifications.

• Ensure all changes are documented and approved.

7.       Follow Up of All the Tuning Loop of the Tool:

• Monitor the tuning process of the tool.

• Ensure all adjustments are made according to specifications.

8.       Preparation Data for Mold Flow:

• Pilot Mold flow request

• Collect and analyze data required for mold flow simulations.

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of data.

9.       Product Quality Validation:

• Support with expertise for quality validation tests (e.g., porosity, drop test, dimensional checks).

• Ensure products meet quality standards before approval.

10.       PLM Management:

• Creation and follow-up of the ECR for the renewal tools

• Support PCA in DC tools modification,

• Ensure all tool-related data is accurately recorded and maintained.

11.       Ensure Follow Up of Modifications with Internal Supplier:

• Coordinate with internal suppliers to ensure modifications are implemented.

• Track progress and ensure timely completion of modifications.
