- Drive engineering execution across multiple concurrent initiatives while ensuring alignment with business goals and product priorities.
- Partner closely with Product Managers, Architects, Designers, and stakeholders to define scope, priorities, delivery plans, and technical strategy.
- Support project planning, resource allocation, estimation, and prioritization to maximize business impact.
- Balance customer commitments, operational support needs, platform investments, technical debt reduction, and new feature development.
- Champion engineering excellence through code quality, automated testing, security, observability, and operational best practices.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software with strong attention to scalability, reliability, performance, maintainability, and security.
- Promote Agile development practices and continuously improve team processes and delivery effectiveness.
- Identify risks early, remove blockers, and proactively mitigate challenges impacting delivery or team productivity.
- Keep teams aligned with long-term product and platform strategy while effectively managing near-term commitments.
- Understand business objectives and ensure engineering decisions support company goals and customer outcomes.
- Lead by example through technical credibility, sound judgment, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be exceptionally self-motivated, proactive, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Have 12+ years of industry experience delivering enterprise-grade software products, including 3–5 years in an engineering leadership role.
- Have experience building or scaling enterprise SaaS platforms, APIs, and customer-facing applications using Python and React.
- Possess strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and scalable microservices-based systems.
- Have experience coding with Python and modern frontend frameworks such as React and/or Angular.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, security principles, reliability, and cost optimization.
- Have hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP cloud platforms and core cloud services.
- Understand CI/CD practices, deployment automation, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps principles.
- Have experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Be familiar with monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, and CloudWatch.
- Demonstrate strong analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Be proficient with Jira, Confluence, and modern engineering collaboration tools.
- Experience with Databricks, Data Lakes, BigQuery, or modern data platform technologies.
- Experience working in a SaaS or product-led software organization.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and serverless technologies.
- Experience building reusable platform services, frameworks, or shared engineering capabilities.
- Experience contributing to engineering strategy, organizational planning, and budgeting.
- Experience managing globally distributed engineering teams.
- Experience working in the Utility, Energy, or Sustainability domain.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
