Support Engineer, Senior Business Application

Job Duties:

Plan, initiate, and manage information technology (IT) projects. Lead and guide the work of technical staff. Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects. Plan project stages and assess business implications for each stage. Monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met. Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance and IT engineering across the project lifecycle in an agile project environment (either Scrum or Kanban).  Provide information technology production support for Internal Finance stakeholders.  Provide technical expertise for SAP and related tools in discussions with internal stakeholders during blueprint requirements gathering, solution/design sign off, demo of configured solution, final UAT sign off for any project.  Work with development teams on Digital Financial modernization project for Core Finance areas.  Work with integration and reporting tools to ensure correct system to system communication.  Work primarily with sales order and revenue recognition processes in SAP.  Apply technical knowledge of application frameworks and infrastructure as well as reading programming code for multiple software systems.  Represent Operations team to meet with project teams and resolve requirements, scope, understanding, and acceptance through meeting and sharing tools.  Collaborate with extended team of functional and technical team members.  Manage incident tickets and defect/enhancement tracking queues.  Assist with issue resolution when requiring development effort by working with development teams to design, develop, re-factor, optimize, and enhance application software.  Support Autodesk enterprise growth and ensure stability through maintenance activities on Enterprise Applications.  Work with open-source tools, create reports, enrich dashboards, and implement proactive monitoring. Take part in establishing team vision, mission, yearly operations goals, and tactical plans in alignment with key business areas, IT and the organization.  Drive cost optimization by identifying opportunities to leverage solutions cross-functionally across business areas and generate economies of scale.  Prepare and maintain functional specification, configuration documents, test plans and other documentation as per validation requirements.  Work with Business SMEs to reach agreeable solutions, alternatives.  Work with international team of functional and technical team members, provide knowledge transfer/training to same on new project developments. Telecommuting is permitted.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field and 8 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a consultant/analyst-related occupation. Telecommuting is permitted.

Special Requirements:

Position requires at least 6 years of experience in each of the following skills:

• SAP applications:  GL, AR, AP, Fixed Assets, COPA, Revenue Recognition and Banking and Contract Accounting;

• Work closely with Data Warehouse, ABAP, Basis and other teams in design and implementation of SAP FI-CA & FICO functionalities to support day to day businesses;

• SAP FI/MM integration, inventory management, account determinations, Goods receipt, Goods Issue and LIV (Logistics Invoice Verification) processes.

Position requires at least 4 years of experience in each of the following skills:

• SAP SI (System Integration), New G/L, FI-BL (Bank Ledger), FI-AR, FI-AP, FI-AA, and CO;

• Debugging ABAP code, BADI implementations, and troubleshoot SAP IDocs;

• Standard SAP workflows, custom workflows and SAP Workflow diagnostic tools;

• Tax bolt-ons like OneSource (formerly Sabrix), Vertex & Taxware;

• SAP to SABRIX integrations end to end;

• Functional design documents (RICEFWs – Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms & Workflows);

• Implementing the Business Functions in the FI/CO area to enhance the standard functionalities provided by SAP.

Salary transparency  

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $163,571 -$180,000/year. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
