Position Overview

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the Platform Services and Emerging Technology Developer Enablement (DevRel) group. The DevRel organization's mission is to provide developers with the tools and support needed to create high-quality applications that meet Autodesk's requirements. This includes enabling developers to build, test, and deploy software applications using tools such as CloudOS and Beacon.

The DevRel team fosters collaboration and knowledge sharing to empower developers, enabling them to take ownership of their work and contribute to our success. In this role, you will represent developer needs across the APAC/EMEA regions, providing technical support, maintaining developer enablement solutions, and collaborating with partner platform teams to ensure optimal platform functionality. This position is based in India, and you will report to a Senior Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities

• Standardize service deployment configurations and processes for application teams
• Accelerate deployment timelines for application teams
• Facilitate the onboarding of application teams to internal developer platforms
• Provide technical support to developers using platform services
• Assist developers in building and deploying applications
• Troubleshoot issues and collaborate with development teams to resolve challenges
• Work with development teams to ensure the platform meets their needs
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and training materials for platform services
• Stay informed on emerging technologies and industry trends

Minimum Qualifications

• 5–7 years managing resources within cloud computing platforms like AWS
• 5–7 years of experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CloudBees, or Spinnaker for automating the software development lifecycle
• 5–7 years of experience with infrastructure provisioning and automation tools like Terraform
• Expertise in development, build, and deployment processes for workloads, including serverless, container-based, and enterprise applications
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes
• Proficiency in observability practices and tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Splunk, Dynatrace, or NewRelic
• Strong ability to create technical documentation such as runbooks, engineering notes, and resources
• Excellent inter-team communication, coordination, and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Active involvement in open-source software and related communities
• Enjoys public speaking at conferences and developer events
• Relevant certifications such as:
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
  • Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
