Senior Software Engineer

Position Overview

Do you want to create engaging, helpful, and attractive websites that are frequented by millions of visitors worldwide? Autodesk's Digital Marketing Experiences Engineering team is looking for an experienced full-stack engineering lead who is passionate about technology to join our globally distributed team and help us develop beautiful, personalised website experiences.

As part of the Digital Marketing Experiences Engineering team of engineers, you will take a leadership role to implement exciting features that engage and influence Autodesk customers. You will report directly to a Engineering Manager on the team. Our team faces a variety of unique and interesting challenges, from creating new tools and components, implementing important web services, creating new and engaging end-user experiences, to digging into low-level performance details and streamlining processes. To be successful in this role, you'll need a solid foundation in a full range of web technologies from server to client, experience designing and describing complex software systems, and a desire to solve new challenges head-on. This profile is a hybrid role with a few days in Montreal/Toronto office.

Responsibilities

• Understand business domain and work with product management to develop long and short-term technical vision.
• Develop full stack applications in Adobe Experience Manager, React to enhance the Autodesk Digital Marketing Experiences Stack.
• Bring solutions to complex business problems to build maintainable, scalable and reliable web-based consumer and B2B platforms
• Establish and lead best practices in software engineering including coding standards.
• Align with teams throughout the company to achieve successful technical design and implementation
• Continue to research and adopt new technologies to evolve our products use and promote our Agile practices.
• Experience working with headless CMS solution is a bonus.

Minimum Requirements

• Experience with web technology stacks (React, Node, HTML5, CSS frameworks, Core Web Vitals)
• Understanding of server-side web development using Java Experience developing efficient and reliable JavaScript, both client-side and server-side
• Experience in version control systems (Git)
• Excellent with CSS skills including object-oriented CSS.
• Understanding of Object-Oriented and Functional programming paradigms
• Have knowledge of industry best practices and good software architecture
• An understanding of current trends in web and mobile development
• Experience with continuous integration tools, such as Jenkins 5 years or more of relevant experience in software engineering 4+ years of experience working in a modern web application stack (React, Next.js, Node)
• Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location.
