As a Robotic Systems Intern, you will contribute to, integrate and validate software features on Auterion-powered unmanned aerial vehicles within a particular product vertical. You will gain exposure to Auterion’s full technology stack while improving our state of the art autonomous vehicle solutions, and develop insights into real-world testing and validation of a range new products. You will work closely with software engineers, hardware experts and flight test engineers, and hear direct feedback from customers and OEMs. You will have many opportunities to learn, grow your skillset and take ownership of your tasks in a young, dynamic company.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Work with team members to develop different features for autonomous aerial vehicles.
- Design and implement algorithms in the topics of control, estimation or perception.
- Test these features in simulation and by going out to fly real vehicles.
- Critically evaluate their performance, drive fast iterations, and document the procedure.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Studying towards (in the final two semesters) or have already completed a Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, robotics or a related field.
- Proven software development experience. C++ is preferred.
- Knowledge of robotics topics, such as dynamics, estimation, control and computer vision.
- Familiarity with some of the following: Git, ROS 2, Docker, OpenCV, networking, Linux.
- Experience with robot hardware and electronics.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Bonus: Experience working with the PX4 ecosystem and aerial robots.
- Eligible to work in Switzerland.
