About This Role:

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our Admin Experience team in Munich, Germany. At Atolls, your role will be instrumental in supporting the development of new features and products, working across the entire stack from the database layer all the way to the client layer. As a key part of our team, you’ll be directly involved in building and enhancing the digital destinations our users rely on.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable, end-to-end features, from database architecture to the user interface.
  • Architect robust and maintainable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Develop and optimize responsive frontend applications using React for a seamless and engaging user experience.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive best practices in code quality, testing, and CI/CD processes to ensure the stability and scalability of our platforms.
  • Create, maintain, and enforce clear technical guidelines and best practices across engineering teams.
  • Design and deliver reusable utilities, shared frameworks, and reference implementations used by 10+ product teams.
  • Lead standardization efforts and internal tooling improvements to raise code quality, maintainability, and developer experience.

 Your Profile:

We’re looking for someone with extensive experience in full-stack development with a focus on TypeScript, React, and Node.js-based applications, who is dedicated to driving innovation.

  • Technical Skills: TypeScript, React (strong proficiency), Node.js, SQL/NoSQL databases, GraphQL, CI/CD, Cloud Services (AWS: EC2, DynamoDB, S3). 
  • Soft Skills: Problem-solving, Collaboration, Mentorship, Communication, Ownership.
  • Language requirements: Fluent in English.

Nice to have, but not mandatory:  

  • Architecture & Infrastructure experience: Experience with distributed architecture (backend and frontend); Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Development experience: Building internal CMS solutions; Creating tooling and reusable utilities for engineering teams; Working with Nest.js, Next.js, ElasticSearch and Apollo Federation.
