AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Bridge and Civil Engineering Intern to join our Houston TX office.

Our Internship Program, Explore, is designed for college students pursuing a degree in a STEM field and provides opportunities to learn what it’s like to work in a professional environment and apply what’s learned in class to the real-world challenges we face every day.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Structural Intern in the Bridges & Infrastructure Design Team, you will:
- Assist with the structural analysis and design of bridges and other infrastructure projects.
- Support the preparation of engineering reports, calculations, and technical documentation.
- Work with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and structural design software to create and modify drawings.
- Collaborate with engineers on design development, drafting, and project coordination.
- Conduct basic research and data compilation to support design decisions.
- Participate in meetings, training sessions, and site visits to gain field exposure.
QUALIFICATIONS
- EXPERIENCE:
- No prior experience required if enrolled in an associate or bachelor’s degree program in Civil Engineering.
- EDUCATION:
- Must have completed at least 60 credit hours toward a Civil Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program by Summer 2025.
- SPECIAL SKILLS:
- Basic computer skills to enter and manage engineering data.
- Strong math and analytical skills to perform engineering calculations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation (preferred but not required).
