The Senior Business Analyst of Cloud Infrastructure Engineering will report to the Business Operations Manager. They will support all audit and reporting activities for Cloud Infrastructure Engineering, acting as an informed and influential member of the Operations team, and the Cloud Infrastructure Engineering department. In this role the individual will also be a key contact for other internal departments, in particular Internal Audit, Information Security, Compliance, Legal, Sales RFP, and Cloud Engineering and Operations Program Management Organization.

The Team: We are a team part of the Cloud Engineering and Operations division who are passionate about using services, data, and related infrastructure to support athena. We use an agile based framework to execute our work, ensuring we are always focused on the most important and impactful needs of the business. We support systems in both private and public cloud and make data-driven decisions for which one best suit the needs of the business. We are relentless in automating away manual, repetitive work so we can focus on projects that help move the business forward.
Position Summary:
Individual contributor for Business Operations reports to the Business Operations Manager of CIE. This resource will support all business operations including budget tracking, audit coordination activities, IDX and athenaPractice upgrades/migrations and various reporting for CIE. In this role the individual will also be a key contact for other internal departments, in particular Finance, HR, Security, Internal Audit and Cloud Engineering and Operations Program Management Organization.
Job Responsibilities
- Support athenaIDX and athenaPractice customer migrations and upgrades
- Budget tracking and procurement
- Facilitate requisition for PO creation for the team as well as reconciliation of PO to budget and payments.
- Document all budget related supporting artifacts, changes, and other required documentation for the CIE team.
- Assist teams in identifying and executing tasks that fill in gaps in project work streams, supporting implementation and other needs that may arise.
- Report out on results in a clear and compelling manner
- Develop a “trusted advisor” reputation across athenahealth
- Provide guidance to other business areas by leveraging operational experience and insight
- Develop a robust network of key cross functional stakeholders
Education, Experience, & Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- 3 or more years of relevant work experience in project management and/or business analysis in an engineering required
- Experience with Smartsheet, JIRA, Confluence required
- Experience in accounting or bookkeeping preferred
- Proven record of measurable business results
- Demonstrated ability to assume sole and independent responsibility for various projects
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
