Lead Linux Systems Engineer- Load Balancing

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Linux Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our systems and services with a focus on global load balancing. You will work with a team of engineers in implementing best practices for global load balancing, site reliability, and infrastructure management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, implementation, and management of global load balancing solutions to optimize application performance and availability.
- Oversee the deployment and management of Citrix NetScaler for application delivery and traffic management.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of services and infrastructure.
- Implement and maintain Linux-based systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Utilize private and public cloud services to build and manage scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure.
- Employ tools such as Consul for service discovery and configuration management.
- Use Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources.
- Develop strategies for monitoring system performance and reliability, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Develop and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and procedures.
- Mentor and guide other engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Eligible to work in the US now or in the future without visa sponsorship
- 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in global load balancing strategies and technologies.
- Extensive experience with Linux operating systems and administration.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on teamwork.
- Solid understanding of AWS services and architecture.
- Familiarity with Consul for service discovery and configuration.
- Proficient in Terraform for infrastructure automation.
- Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficient in Citrix NetScaler configuration and management.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Experience with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or Docker.
- Certifications in AWS or relevant technologies are a plus.
