Job Description:

This position is a hands-on technical leader for new Network Surveillance Management technology that supports AT&T’s leading edge networks and services, such as network virtualization and 5G, which require extensive surveillance and cross-domain correlation across multiple services. Evaluate and introduce strategic technology to enable Service Assurance architectural goals and transformation goals. This position requires technical leadership, innovation, and deep subject matter expertise in Network Service Assurance.

Will be responsible for software development, testing, deployment, and support of Network Service Assurance applications.

Required work includes collaborating with system engineers, participating in scrum, development and testing code to meet requirements, troubleshoot issues, monitor performance, and optimize processes for continuous improvement and fixing security vulnerabilities.

Required Skills:

  • Strong hand-on experience in Software Development using Java, python.
  • Expertise with developing and deploying applications and Micro services to Public Cloud, preferably Azure.
  • Experience in Linux/Unix, shell scripting.
  • Experience in end-to-end test automation preferably using Robot framework.
  • Experience in Databases (SQL/NoSQL) like CASSANDRA, Postgres, MySQL and Snowflake.
  • Knowledge in microservices Architecture and Design Patterns
  • Knowledge of real-time data streaming and messaging solutions like Kafka, IEBUS
  • Experience with tools like Maven, GIT, Jenkins, JFrog, Sonar and security scans (like Veracode)
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration with Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes
  • Experience in front-end development using Angular.
  • Knowledgeable of key networking technologies such as 5G Core, RAN, Transport, IP Routing, Ethernet, and Access Wireline Networks.
  • Data collection approaches through adoption of industry standard methods and open-source capabilities and dashboards through Grafana
  • Experience with the TICK stack: Telegraf, InfluxDB, Chronograf and Kapacitor is a plus.
  • Experience with the ELK stack: ElasticDB, Logstash, Kibana is a plus.
  • Azure/AWS/Google Cloud certified Cloud developer/Cloud architecture
  • Understanding of key protocols including HTTP, SNMP, DNS, SSH.
  • Experience in all phases of Software Development Lifecycle including Requirements, Design and Architecture, Development, testing and Quality Assurance, Deployment and Release Management and Maintenance and Support.
  • Any prior experience in a telecommunications industry setting is a plus.
  • Overall Experience: Over 10 years in relevant technologies.
