Welcome to the Guadalajara Global IT Center (GITC), one of AstraZeneca's key locations. We foster a collaborative culture where everyone can be their true selves. As part of the Enterprise Capabilities and Solutions (ECS) – Software Engineering (SE) Guadalajara group, you will lead the development of custom web and mobile applications using agile methodologies, Cloud, and DevOps practices. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor an agile software development team in designing and architecting secure back-end solutions for mobile and web applications.
• Develop and implement robust back-end components for mobile and web apps, ensuring high performance and scalability.
• Dedicate time to advancing your skills, exploring new technologies, and building Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to drive innovation.
• Ensure code quality by writing comprehensive automated unit and acceptance tests.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals and technical requirements.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Extensive experience in software development with proficiency in Python, Java, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Strong expertise in SQL/NoSQL databases and designing APIs and Microservices.
• Experience leading teams and projects, with experience in agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).
• Experience with Node.js, serverless applications on AWS, and Linux environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for learning and innovation.
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with global teams.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
• Knowledge of Event-Driven Architectures.
• Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), or pair programming.
• Experience with Front-End technologies such as Angular and React.
• Understanding of containerization and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
