Join us at AstraZeneca in the role of Director, Commercial IT - Business Partner, Adoption Lead within our IT department. This role is pivotal in developing and implementing strategies that maximize business awareness, adoption, and usage of Commercial IT (CIT) Products. You will use your IT expertise, knowledge of bio-pharma industry trends, and understanding of AZ business priorities to identify and implement new innovative approaches and processes. Accountabilities:

In this role you will ensure the adoption of an industry-leading product offering encompassing all areas of Commercial IT. You will work closely with Business Engagement Teams to develop a deep understanding of the business strategies, priorities, and challenges, ensuring that IT investment aligns with business objectives. You will partner with CIT capability leaders to ensure a cohesive approach across the entire commercial IT offerings. Working with relevant teams, you'll ensure that all IT capabilities used by the function meet agreed performance outcomes and drive continuous improvement initiatives as required.  You will establish and maintain positive relationships with external partners and develop strategies to deliver maximum value for AstraZeneca. You will lead IT functional/capability governance including steering groups and advisory boards for all relevant initiatives. Lead the Adoption team, providing development, coaching, and line management.

Essential Skills/Experience:

• Experience of identification and implementation of innovative technology solutions 

• Evidence of leading and developing innovative engagement strategies and plans  

• Experience of defining the business strategies and influencing the vision of senior leaders 

• Experience of leading high value business cases & mobilising high value investments 

• Experience in managing, developing and leading teams and virtual teams  

• A validated track record of delivering results 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presenting  

• Excellent influencing, networking and team working skills

• High level awareness of developments in the Information Technology marketplace 

• Ability to manage and lead negotiations, expectations and solutions across complex groups 

• Expert relationship building skills with the ability to influence others to achieve objectives 

• Expertise in planning, change management and problem solving and able to resolve issues of a highly complex and strategic nature 

• Proven ability to relate and respond to business needs in an IT environment 

Desirable:

• Educated to degree level standard or equivalent (business technology or related degree)

• Leader within pharma thought leadership networks and organisations

• Ability to work well in and across diverse global teams and partner and work in a matrix organisation
