Software and Firmware Engineering Leader

Astera Lab's firmware and software is one of the key differentiators that helped us win all major CSPs and hyperscalers as customers. As a Software and Firmware Engineering Leader, you will be leading a team that is responsible for developing the software and firmware that solves mission critical challenges for our customers through cutting edge technologies. The role reports to the SVP of ASIC Engineering and will lead a rapidly growing firmware and software organization. You will be partnering with product marketing, architecture, and design teams to plan and develop differentiated and mission critical products. This role is critical for the success of our current and future product offerings.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years’ experience as a director or above in software engineering or ML
• Experience developing PCIe/CXL based systems like NIC, Storage, Fabrics
• Experience in cutting edge feeds and speeds on PCIE/CXL/Memory technologies
• Good understanding of secure and non-secure Hyperscale Data Center deployments
• Experience with all aspects of development of such systems, embedded FW development, BIOS, Linux/Windows kernels and drivers
• Experience with deploying security solutions with embedded FW
• Experience in CI/CD deployments, quality metrics tracking, hardware system-based regression mechanisms
• Proven track record of innovative solutions to solve problems due to resource or time constraints.
• Proven track record of building and scaling high performing software teams that ship high quality products
• Success track record of working in fast-paced and interdisciplinary engineering teams including pre-silicon and post-silicon validation teams.
