Job Description

Your Mission:

The Senior Civil/Structural Engineer will:

• To assist the Discipline Lead in delivery of the structural engineering work packages to the required scope, quality, schedule and cost.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist Discipline Lead:

   • 🤝 Support in delivering structural engineering work packages.
   • 📊 Ensure delivery aligns with scope, quality, schedule, and cost requirements.

2. Technical Management:

   • 📝 Manage technical deliverables of structural engineering packages.
   • 📑 Ensure compliance with planned deliverables.

3. Key Tasks:

• 📐 Prepare and/or check designs, analyses, reports, drawings, and specifications.
• 🛠 Participate in problem-solving for technical solutions and new designs.
• 📋 Review and evaluate new designs, construction methodologies, and temporary works.
• 📅 Manage design work packages, including planning, scheduling, and progress reporting.
• 👥 Provide guidance to junior staff and supervise their work.
• 📚 Utilize Learn from Experience information to develop theoretical knowledge.
• 🏗 Support development, construction, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
• 🔍 Conduct on-site inspections of assets for construction and maintenance.
• 📑 Maintain familiarity with Facilities Engineering procedures.

Qualifications

Profile:

Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

🎓 Degree in relevant engineering discipline.

📜 Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership.

🚀 Nuclear Introductory Course or equivalent knowledge.

🏗 Design and substantiation of heavy civil engineering and building structures.

🏭 Knowledge of architectural design of industrial buildings.

🔧 Knowledge of building services design and installation.

🏗 Knowledge of construction techniques for Nuclear Safety-related structures.

🧠 Sound understanding of engineering design and safety practices.

📊 Project specification, planning, management, and budgeting experience.

📜 Familiarity with company procedures on Health & Safety, Design, and Quality.

💻 Working knowledge of engineering office computer applications.

🛳 Experience in design support for conventional and nuclear submarines and facilities.
