Job Description

• Implement and monitor the Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures at project sites.

• Ensure all works are executed as per approved drawings, technical specifications, and contract requirements.

• Conduct regular site inspections for civil works related to pipeline laying, reservoirs, pumping stations, sewer networks, and allied infrastructure.

• Ensure proper testing of construction materials such as cement, aggregates, concrete, pipes, valves, and fittings.

• Verify material quality and approve materials prior to their use at site.

• Maintain records of material test reports and laboratory results.

• Coordinate with site laboratory or third-party laboratories for testing of materials and samples.

• Ensure tests are conducted as per applicable IS codes and project specifications.

• Maintain quality records including inspection reports, test reports, checklists, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).

• Prepare quality monitoring reports and submit them to the Project Manager / Consultant.

• Identify quality issues or deviations from specifications.

• Initiate corrective and preventive actions and ensure closure of NCRs.

• Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and consultants to maintain quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

• Ensure compliance with government guidelines, contract specifications, and quality standards applicable to urban infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Civil Engineering
