Job Description

Mission:

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and Manage Technical Design Packages:

   • 🎯 Set project-related objectives.
   • 📊 Manage designer performance.
   • 🔧 Provide appropriate technical management responses.
   • 💼 Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the discipline.

2. Ensure Comprehensive Design Documentation:

   • 📄 Ensure documentation covers the required scope of operations.
   • 📅 Meet agreed standards, schedule, and budget as specified by the Project Manager.

3. Plan for Effective Project Implementation:

   • 🗝 Identify key factors for project success.
   • 📝 Lead the project’s technical planning process.

4. Quality Management and Compliance:

   • ✅ Ensure adherence to effective Quality Management Arrangements.
   • 📋 Operate in compliance with the Business Management System and Technical Manual.

5. Documentation and Records Management:

   • 🗂 Ensure all processes and activities are appropriately documented.
   • 🗃 Maintain proper records with configuration and quality controls applied.

6. Risk Management:

   • ⚠️ Ensure staff and contractors are aware of the hazards and risks associated with their work.
   • 📢 Manage and communicate risk assessments effectively.

Qualifications

Profile:

• 🎓 Degree in engineering.
• 📜 Chartered Engineer registered with the Engineering Council.
• 🚀 Nuclear course or equivalent knowledge.
• 🛠 Knowledge of nuclear lifting techniques and processes.
• 🏭 Design conventional mechanical handling equipment for graving dock facilities.
• 🔒 Control and protection systems expertise.
• 🌍 Seismic analysis of mechanical handling systems.
• 📈 High-integrity mechanical handling systems substantiation.

Experience Required:

• 📚 Technical management of complex design development.
• 🧠 Expert advice to design houses.
• 🏗 Engineering design and safety practices.
• 📊 Project specification, planning, and management.
• 📜 Knowledge of Design, Health & Safety, and Quality procedures.
• 💻 Proficiency in engineering software applications.
• ⚓ Experience with submarine and facility design support.
