Job Description

Your Future Team:

The successful Principal EC&I Engineer will be joining Assystem working within our Defence Business Unit, working initially on an embedded basis with our prestigious client.  You will manage the delivery of EC&I Engineering design packages. This role ensures that projects meet required scope, schedule, cost, and quality standards.

Your missions:

✅ Lead and manage EC&I engineering work packages, setting project objectives, managing designer performance, and making technical management decisions.

✅ Provide technical design guidance and review of EC&I system designs, ensuring compliance with Safety Functional requirements.

✅ Operate within Quality Management Arrangements, adhering to the Client's Business Management System and Technical Manual.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

🎓 Masters or Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

🎓 Chartered Engineer (or working towards Chartership), registered with Engineering Council.

Knowledge and Experience:

✅ Design and substantiation of EC&I solutions for Nuclear Safety Functions.

✅ Knowledge of process design for large-scale industrial plants.

✅ Demonstrated technical management skills in complex design development.

✅ Provide expert advice to sub-contracted design houses.

✅ Sound understanding of engineering design and safety practices.

✅ Project specification, planning, management, and budgeting experience.

✅ Working knowledge of relevant engineering office computer applications.

✅ Experience in design support for construction, operation, refit/repair of conventional and nuclear submarines and/or facilities.

Additional Information

Due to the nature of this role the successful candidate will require Security clearance. To gain this they will be required to be a Sole UK national,  Hybrid working from home/Assystem Office
