Job Description
Assystem is seeking a Data Analyst Engineer with a strong engineering background in either Electrical or Mechanical disciplines to join our team and be deployed on the Hinkley Point C project. This role is ideal for an engineer with a mindset highly attuned to project and data analytics, capable of managing and interpreting the significant volumes of data generated by a large-scale nuclear power generation project. The successful candidate will ensure data is structured and presented effectively to inform key decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with EDF and project teams to understand data requirements and ensure its relevance to project objectives.
- Collect, process, and analyse large datasets generated by the Hinkley Point C project.
- Develop dashboards and visualisations to communicate complex data clearly to stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Support project teams with data-driven insights for enhanced decision-making.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with project and regulatory standards.
- Work closely with IT teams to optimise data management systems and tools.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and propose solutions through data analysis.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Experience in managing and interpreting complex datasets.
- Ability to present data in a clear and meaningful way for various stakeholders.
- Familiarity with engineering and construction projects, preferably in a nuclear or regulated environment.
- Problem-solving mindset with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, SQL, or R.
- Familiarity with data management systems.
- Experience with large infrastructure projects would be beneficial.
