Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented BIM Piping Designer to develop and coordinate piping models for industrial, infrastructure, and building projects. The candidate will be responsible for creating accurate 3D BIM models, preparing detailed drawings, and ensuring clash-free coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed 3D piping models using BIM software.

• Prepare piping layout drawings, isometrics, spool drawings, and fabrication drawings.

• Coordinate with civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical teams for clash detection and resolution.

• Perform clash detection using Navisworks and resolve coordination issues.

• Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and client requirements.

• Extract BOQs and material take-offs from BIM models.

• Maintain BIM standards, LOD requirements, and documentation.

• Support project engineers and managers with design modifications.

• Participate in coordination meetings and provide technical inputs.

• Having minimum 5 years experience in oil & gas, Petrochemical plant piping design experience with micro-station & smart plant 3D ,Preferred Saudi Aramco/SABIC experience

• Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

• 3–8 years of experience in piping design and BIM modeling.

• Proficiency in:

  • AutoCAD

  • Revit (MEP)

  • Navisworks

  • Plant 3D / PDMS / E3D (preferred)

• Strong understanding of piping systems (water supply, HVAC, fire fighting, industrial piping, etc.).

• Knowledge of relevant codes and standards.

• Ability to read P&IDs and GA drawings.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

• Experience in oil & gas, water treatment, power plant, or infrastructure projects.

• Familiarity with BIM 360 or Common Data Environment (CDE).

• Experience in LOD 300/400 modeling.
