Data Insights Associate

Position Overview

The Data Insights Associate is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing reporting and analytics solutions that support business decision-making. This role will partner with internal stakeholders to transform data into meaningful insights through dashboards, reports, and data analysis.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to learn new technologies. This position offers the opportunity to work with business leaders, gain exposure to multiple areas of the organization, and contribute directly to data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI.
  • Analyze operational, financial, sales, and business data to identify trends and actionable insights.
  • Deliver accurate and timely reporting to internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Support ad hoc reporting requests and business analysis initiatives.
  • Monitor and validate data quality across reporting sources.

Data Analysis & Business Support

  • Interpret data and provide recommendations that support business objectives.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and requirements.
  • Perform root cause analysis to investigate reporting discrepancies and data-related issues.
  • Gather, document, and clarify business requirements for new reporting solutions.

Technical Development

  • Write and maintain SQL queries to support reporting and analytical needs.
  • Support the development and optimization of reporting datasets.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
  • Assist with testing and validating reporting enhancements prior to deployment.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reporting solutions.
  • Present findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Provide support and guidance to end users regarding reports and dashboards.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and project activities as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 1+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Reporting, Business Intelligence, or a related field.
  • Experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI.
  • Strong SQL skills for querying and analyzing data.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Power Query and Power Pivot.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and dimensional modeling concepts.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Exposure to financial services, insurance, lending, or equipment finance industries.
  • Experience gathering business requirements and documenting user stories.
  • Experience supporting executive and operational reporting.
