Software Architect

Introduction to the job

In the Software Integration and Release group we are looking for a Software Architect to join our team! Within ASML you will provide the software solutions that make our tooling complete and efficient.

You will be involved at all stages of the software development process: specification, high-level design, qualification and integration of our tools. You will be responsible for creating clear specifications on requirements, making efficient design choices and to 'make it happen' by co-operation with your development team, product owner, and other architects. Next to this, you will be responsible for providing effort estimate roll-ups for the work at hand and identify dependencies on others. You will interface with both internal and external stakeholders.

Role and responsibilities

Together with the team and Department architect, you are involved in the entire development cycle, with primarily focus on the software needed to develop tooling/solutions. Together with Software integration team the Software Architect takes the lead in designing and release of the tools/solution. You identify risks and make mitigation plans, guide and coach your development team with strategy and planning of upcoming products.

Education and experience

• You have a BSc. or MSc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent,

• At least 5 years experience as a lead designer or architect

• Relevant experience in architecture and development/engineering of complex software systems.

• Experience in Python language

• Experience with change and project management is a pre-requisite,

• Experience in working in SAFe or Agile team environment and applying lean practices is good to have.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
