Senior Software Integration and Delivery Engineer

Within ASML, the sector Development and Engineering is responsible for the specification, design, integration, qualification, and sustaining of all ASML products.

Context

ASML develops and maintains a powerful generic motion control platform.

The generic motion platform serves a large number of (high precision) moving or controlled parts spread across ASML machines. For this the motion platform has to interface with a wide variety of different digital IO boards using various communication methods. For each of these different applications a specific configuration is required.

Your job mission is to enable subsystems by delivering motion control software from our own repository to the main repositories of our internal clients, and providing software patches during machine integration or when analyzing issues. You do this while keeping a close eye on the overall quality we deliver.

Role and responsibilities

• You are with your team responsible for delivering our motion control software to the main archives of our ASML machines, and together with your team you show ownership for our delivery process.

• You solve issues that occur when delivering software between different repositories, for example issues stemming from variation in build systems.

• You testing deliverables for regression and progression in simulated and real environments.

• You provide a first analysis in case of functional problems in a delivery, and work closely with the developers in our back-office teams to get then resolved as quickly as possible.

• You create patches based on developer branches.

• You actively contribute to improve the quality and efficiency of our delivery process and reduce technical debt.

• You play an active part as a team member to grow the team in technical and non-technical aspects.

Education and experience

• Knowledge of Git, SVN, ClearCase, or similar version control systems.

• Experience as SW integrator with a large codebase in a mixed repository environment.

• Experience creating patches and dealing with different baselines and service-pack combinations.

• Knowledge of Python and C/C++.

• Good understanding of DevOps and CI/CD.

• At least 8 years of experience in software integration in a high-tech, multidisciplinary environment.

• Bachelor or Master degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.

• You like to understanding the whole picture, and are able to make impact analyses based on changes in delivery.

• You have good analytical skills, can solve problems independently and are eager to extend your technical knowledge.

• You have excellent communication and collaboration skills.
