Industrial Engineering | Business Administration Internship: Freight Operations

Your assignment

The focus of this internship will concern the topic of Freight Bill Auditing / Cost Control. The goal is to structurally optimize the billing structure between ASML and her transportation suppliers. Additionally, you will provide operational support for shipments and projects within the ASML supply chain, freight bill auditing, reporting and transport management system first line support.

During this internship you will:

• Focus on achieving full transparency of our freight related invoices;

• Improve the process of invoice upload and invoice approval;

• Improve workload creation;

• Improve the freight bill auditing process;

• Maintain and update rate cards in transport management systems to secure exact matches with the transport rate agreements and compare these with the actual freight bills, making sure the registration of cost is done correctly.
   

Your profile

To be a perfect match for this internship, you:

• Are a MBO (vocational) or HBO/bachelor student with an educational background related to Business Administration or Industrial Engineering;

• Have an affinity with Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Freight;

• Are data driven, focused on details and like to drive root cause analysis and define actions;

• Are capable of working independently as well as in a team;

• Have good communication skills and are fluent in English both verbally and in writing.
   

This is an apprentice internship (no graduation), for minimum 5 months, minimum 4 days per week (80% on-site). The start date of this internship is as soon as possible, with the possibility to start in September 2025.
 

Other requirements you need to meet:

• You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;

• Attach your cover letter with a clear motivation why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular;

• You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship. In case you ‘re currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.

• If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
