Data Science Internship: Data Analysis Global Support Center

Introduction

ASML Customer Support (CS) is responsible to service a global installed base of thousands machines in a 24x7 operation with > 9000 employees worldwide.

The CS DUV Global Support Center (GSC) is the third line support organization for all DUV platforms. Your assignment takes place within this department, which is located in Netherlands, Taiwan and USA.

Your assignment

Within and under guidance of the GSC team, you will be conducting data analysis to detect early warning signals, which could indicate that specific machines are trending towards thresholds and therefore “nominated” for (more) pro-active investigation. You will create models using Python and Kusto query language, helping us with proactive warnings and early heads-up.

This is an unique opportunity to look behind the scenes of and contribute to our global support organizations. Work with us to establish direction for future success of ASML Customer Support.

This is an apprentice internship (non-thesis) for minimum 6 months, 4 days per week (2+ days on-site).The start date of this internship is as of early January 2025 with a start in February 2025 the latest.

Your profile

To be a perfect fit for this assignment, you:

• Are a bachelor/HBO or master student with an educational background in Data Science, Informatics or Computer Science;

• Have proven experience in Python and SQL;

• Preferably have some experience with Kusto query language and Azure;

• Are self-driven, enjoy working with big data, and like to work in a technical environment;

• Are a professional communicator in English.

Other requirements you need to meet:

• You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;

• You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship. In case you ‘re currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.

• If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
