Computer Science Internship: WEB based application

Introduction

In the Performance and Integration Department, we integrate and qualify the performance of ASML lithography machines. All subsystems come together get assembled and checked to meet specifications of our customers. One of the crucial system performance parameters that we check is Productivity. Productivity varies and depends on the machine's options and upgrade configuration. Complete information with regards to machines expected vs actual performance is crucial in the platform's development & troubleshooting work. You will be a part of creating a tool which will be one of the important productivity competence fundamentals in the next 10-20 years at ASML.

Your assignment

During your internship, you will work together with the DUV Productivity team on developing a Productivity Compendium tool (Web based).
The goal of your project is to build SW application in Mendix environment (lowcode platform). The application should be able to handle complex data structures and link them to a data base.

Task may include but not limited to:

• Run tests in new Software environments (e.g. Mendix);

• Check for limitations and propose your implementation solutions; (e.g. to make it user-friendly, ensure security & version control, automated);

• Work according to agile method with implementing solutions;

​This is an apprentice internship for bachelor and master students to gain work experience, or a graduating project for bachelor's. The duration is 4-6 months, for 4-5 days a week, and with a starting date as soon as possible.

Your Profile

To be a perfect match for this internship, you:

• Are a student in Computer Science, Informatics, Mathematics, or Physics;

• Have very strong software coding skills;

• Have knowledge of SQL DB, Java and rest API;

• Good task and time management;

• Are proactive with good analytical skills;

• Are solution oriented and have a hands-on mentality;

Other requirements you need to meet

• You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;

• You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship. In case you ‘re currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.

• If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
