About the Role

The Student Data Specialist will support the Director, Data & Analytics in delivering insights across Hurricanes Athletics, including Hurricane Club Donations, partnerships, retail, premium, and ticket sales. The student will gain hands-on experience with CRM data management, reporting and dashboards, campaign tracking, and research that supports the partnership sales team. This role is ideal for a student looking to build practical analytics skills in a fast-paced collegiate athletics environment.

About the Project

The University of Miami is in a long-term partnership with Legends to oversee athletics ticket sales, customer service, annual fund solicitation/engagement, ticket operations, digital marketing, corporate partnerships, and multi-media rights opportunities. In addition, Legends will represent the University in developing campus-wide strategic partnerships. As the exclusive partner for Miami Athletics, Legends will engage Hurricanes fans and donors, local and regional South Florida businesses, and national brands with unique and integrated sponsorship, ticketing, and hospitality options.

WHAT YOU’LL DO (KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & OUTCOMES)

· Support the Director, Data & Analytics with day-to-day data analytics and CRM functions for the Miami Hurricanes Athletics property.

· Assist with CRM data hygiene, including auditing, cleaning, de-duplicating, and updating records to ensure accuracy and consistency.

· Help build, maintain, and update reports and dashboards that surface insights for leadership and sales staff.

· Pull, organize, and analyze data from ticketing, donation, retail, and marketing sources that feed into the CRM.

· Track campaign performance across email, digital, and social channels and summarize results and key takeaways.

· Assist with building target lists and lead lists for season ticket member, donor, and new fan campaigns.

· Help prepare data-driven insights and metrics for partnership pitches and recaps.

· Support CRM training efforts by helping create user guides, documentation, and reference materials for sales and service staff.

· Assist with data enrichment projects that add insight into the interests and behaviors of donors and fans.

· Assist with testing and day-to-day administration of the technology stack and business systems as needed.

· Support ad hoc projects and analysis requests as assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING (QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE)

· Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Sport Management, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.

· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, basic formulas) and PowerPoint.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large data sets accurately.

· Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain findings simply.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work both independently and as part of a team.

· Interest in sports business, collegiate athletics, and fan engagement.

· Experience with a CRM platform.

· Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

· Coursework or experience in statistics, marketing analytics, or research.
