Job Title: Data Analyst

Reports to: VP of Product

We are committed to our future growth and building a global team. Today we're looking for a Data Analyst to join us in our Oslo office. We offer flexible working, where you can expect to be in the office an average of 3 days a week.

Objectives for the Role

  • Enable teams and individuals across the company with the insights necessary to support informed decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with the data team to design, build, and maintain a centralized, self-service data platform that is user-friendly for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Consolidate data sources and integrate various BI tools and dashboards to ensure consistency and reliability of data across the organization.
  • Conduct in-depth explanatory and exploratory analyses to uncover insights, trends, and patterns that can drive strategic initiatives.

Goals/Performance Metrics

  • Increase the percentage of non-technical users accessing and utilizing the self-service data platform.
  • Reduce data inconsistencies and errors across reports and dashboards.
  • Conduct a significant number of in-depth analyses and measure their impact on strategic decisions.
  • Reduce the number of redundant BI tools and dashboards.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with colleagues and stakeholders to understand problems and explore potential solutions.
  • Explain complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
  • Extract data from various sources such as databases, APIs, and flat files.
  • Clean and preprocess data to ensure accuracy and usability.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Create visual representations of data to communicate findings.
  • Continuously improve the quality of the codebase and document methodologies, processes, and data definitions.

Skills and Experiences

  • 3+ years of working experience in data analysis or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of data-driven self-service model principles.
  • Proficiency in data modeling, statistical analysis, SQL, and Python (pandas, numpy).
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib, and ggplot2.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to code quality.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects efficiently.
  • Basic knowledge of version control systems like Git for collaborative work.
