Systems Engineer

LOCATION: Full-time onsite in Herndon, VA
We’re hiring a Systems Engineer experienced in SAN operations, storage administration, and VMware environments. You will build and manage Cisco SAN fabrics, configure zoning and host groups, maintain Hitachi arrays, and administer MDS9000‑series hardware and DCMN software.

Key Responsibilities
- Storage Area Networks (SAN) to include zoning and host groups.
- Hitachi Storage.
- Cisco Switches.
- Brocade and/or NetApp storage (EMC storage is translatable).
- VMWare.
- Monitoring, patching, and working with an ISSE to address security concerns.
- Hitachi HiCommand Software to include installation and configuration.
- Hitachi Array Hardware maintenance.
- Cisco Fiber Channel SAN Administrator.
- Ceating Cisco SAN fabrics and setting up/managing Cisco ISLs.
- Cisco DCMN software and MDS9000 series hardware.
- Able to determine and identify dual active paths to and from all servers and storage arrays.
- Working independently from a team.
Highly Desired Qualifications
- Systems’ lifecycles.
- Working with the Sponsor’s multiple internal networks.
- Understanding of the Sponsor’s data center operations.
- Working with Mission Partners to identify and troubleshoot
issues with physical IT infrastructure. - Knowledge of the Sponsor’s ticketing system for tracking changes and incident management.
